About the Foundation

Meghan Brady Merkert was a radiant light — a devoted wife to Hayes, a loving mother to Peyton and Margot, a daughter, a sister-inlaw, a friend. On December 20, 2024, she passed suddenly, leaving a space impossible to fill. 
Her life was full, and her essence unforgettable: she believed in community, connection, kindness, doing things with a smile and with heart. Her work, her relationships, the way she showed up — all pointed to something bigger than herself.
In her memory and by her spirit, the Meghan B. Merkert Foundation was formed. Our purpose is simple, earnest, and rooted in her belief: to support local families in accessing quality education, because Meghan knew that education opens doors, builds hope, and creates belonging.
We carry forward Meghan’s love for people, her generosity of spirit, and her optimism that together we can build something meaningful. This foundation is our way of turning gratitude into action — honoring Meghan by lifting others, strengthening community, and nurturing potential.
